How to Use the IMEI Checker

  1. Enter one or more 15-digit IMEI numbers in the text area below to validate your device. This will help you determine whether your device is a legitimate product released by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and complies with GSMA and local government regulations, or if it is a counterfeit.
  2. Separate multiple IMEI numbers with commas or place each number on a new line.
  3. Click the "Check IMEI(s)" button to start the validation and lookup process.
  4. The results table will show the following information for each valid IMEI:
    • IMEI*: The entered IMEI number.
    • Brand-Internal Model: The internal model identifier of the device.
    • Brand-Marketing Model: The marketing model name of the device.
    • MEID: The corresponding MEID value.
    • pESN: The corresponding pESN value.
    • TAC:The first 6 digits of an IMEI, which is a Type Allocation Code that identifies the device's manufacturer.
    • FAC: The next 2 digits, which is a Final Assembly Code that indicates the device's final assembly location.
    • SNR: The following 6 digits, which is a Serial Number that uniquely identifies the device.
    • CD: The final digit, which is a Check Digit that verifies the IMEI's integrity and ensures accurate transmission and identification.
  5. Download the results as a CSV file by clicking the "Download CSV" button.
  6. If an IMEI is invalid, it will be highlighted in red, and a message will indicate the reason.
    • What is the IMEI?IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. It is a unique 15-digit number that identifies a mobile phone. This number is programmed into GSM and UMTS mobile devices and is used by manufacturers and phone carriers to track stolen or compromised devices.Here are some ways to check your IMEI number:>
    • Dial a code: Open your phone's dialer and type *#06#. Press send and wait a few seconds for your IMEI number to appear on the screen. This method works for any phone, regardless of the brand or model.
    • Check your phone's box: Look for the IMEI number on any of the four sides of your phone's box.
    • Check your phone's settings:
      • Android: Go to Settings, then About Phone or Phone, and scroll through to find the IMEI code.
      • iPhone: Go to Settings, then iCloud or iPad, then General, then About.
      What is the MEID?The 14-digit MEID stands for Mobile Equipment Identifier and is similarly meant to identify a mobile device.
      What is the pESN?Stands for Electronic Serial Number and is an 11-digit number that uses both letters and numbers. You can find your ESN in your device's Settings menu or behind the battery if it's removable.
